ESA European Meeting 2025 in Brno

In early September 2025, I attended the European Meeting of the Economic Science Association (ESA) in Brno, Czechia (September 3–6), hosted by Masaryk University. ESA meetings are a highlight of the experimental economics calendar—bringing together work on decision-making, social preferences, market design, and behavioral interventions in a friendly, discussion-oriented setting.

A special highlight was getting to see the local experimental community at the Masaryk University Experimental Economics Laboratory (MUEEL), which has become an important hub for behavioral and experimental research in the region.

My presentation

I presented my work “Identifying Latent Intentions via Inverse Reinforcement Learning in Repeated Linear Public Good Games” in the Public Goods session (Parallel Sessions G.1, Saturday 09:00–10:20). The session brought together complementary approaches to understanding cooperation and contribution behavior, ranging from measurement and motivation to strategic reasoning in public goods environments.
